Another review for FIFA 2005, this time at Gamespy.
"The addition of the First Touch system makes the gameplay much more fluid, and it encourages you to improvise more often. Armchair managers will love the new career mode, one of the best you'll see this year. It might not be the perfect soccer game, but FIFA Soccer 2005 is a huge step in the right direction for this once groundbreaking series."
Enjoy these new downloads. We would like to have more than 1000 Fifa 2005 Downloads before Christmas. We are waiting for your Fifa Files. Send us your files to juanjose@soccergaming.com and visit our Downloads Centre.
"Also, like the on-the-ball moves, EA Sports has got the balancing of the first-touch controls nigh perfect--they're effective enough that you'll want to use them all the time, but the odds of your fancy footwork failing you are also significant enough that you'll still have to work pretty hard to create scoring opportunities for your team."
Have we got a nice treat for you! The Breamster.com Kit making team have created nearly 60 2GK Kits for all EPL teams for FIFA 2004 and FIFA 2005. Now that there is kit raptor (SoccerAccess) available for both games you can install and enjoy them!
The patch can be found in the EPL section of the Download Centre and is 30mb's. (LINK)
Credit and respect goes to the Kit Machines! - ChrissyD, Jatin, O-Car and Pede for all their hard work - good job fella's!
They just keep on coming. Now Next Level Gaming have reviewed FIFA 2005.
"When you play a Soccer game you are looking for two main things; one is it fun or frustrating, two is the computer AI a joke or a hair puller? FIFA continues to on the first part of the question be fun. And you have enough control over the ball to make it fun and competitive even against the computer. As good as the computer can be, you can actually defend against them."
"Many other aspects of the famous EA FIFA series have been tweaked in order to deliver the most exciting soccer simulation possible. To go along with the First Touch system, a slew of new animations are working under a tweaked kinetic system which allows the characters to appear more realistic in terms of directional changes and weight shifts."
FIFA 2005 is on top of the all-format games charts.
As always FIFA continues to sell well, beating the much anticipated Xbox game, Fable, into first place. Next week it will have some tough competition from some of its own genre, with PES4 and Club Football 2005 aiming to steal its mantle at the top.
There will be another creation centre for this years version of FIFA. Like last year it will be an external editor where you can edit all sorts of areas of FIFA 2005 for the PC. Chau (developer of the creation centre) is said to be meeting with EA shortly about the development of the creation centre. There is no set date yet for the release but it's predicted it will be ready around late December.

FIFA Xbox Live Starter Kit
Eurogamer are reporting news of a FIFA Xbox Live Starter kit.
For around £59.99 within the kit you'll get a copy of FIFA 2005, a 12 month subscription to the Xbox Live service and an Xbox Communicator headset.
"FIFA 2005 is much improved over the last version of the game and fans of the series will no doubt feel good about grabbing it again. The choice between this game and a Konami soccer title, like many other debates in the sports world where EA is involved is a matter of taste, not necessarily quality."
We're back again with another instalment of the FIFA Online series of sites.
FIFA 2005 was officially released in most areas on Friday so chances are that you could already have the game. This year to go with the usual Controls, Tips & Tricks sections we've got Top Players and Team Ratings sections for you to browse through. Thanks goes to Zhariken from the Forums for putting these together.
If you haven't got the game yet, you can view sections on our site, such as information and screenshots, which can aid you in your decision to buy FIFA 2005. Or of course, you can just download the demo.
This is only just the beginning as far as the site is concerned. We will have more hints and tips as well as a redefined (for online console play) multiplayer database coming soon. And with fantastic community support from EA, great downloads by Juan Jose, terrific patch updates by Dave and reliable support from Soccer Gaming's webmaster Lior Fengas you can count on FIFA 2005 online being bigger and better than ever, just as the game is.
Eurogamer.net have given their verdict on FIFA 2005.
"Once you accept the limitations, there's no doubt that FIFA 2005 is very enjoyable whether played alone or with your mates. The addition of Live play is without doubt a major bonus for those of us fed up with having to wrestle with PS2 Online. The truth is, despite there being online play in last year's version, we hardly touched it. This time, however, you can hardly get us off it, and it has already become this reviewer's big online kick."
EA announced today that FIFA Street is in development. This announcement comes as FIFA 2005 is officially released around the world today. Wil Mozell, senior producer for the project, had this to say about FIFA Steet.
"What FIFA Street represents is a movement in football and a break from the modern game. We are stripping the sport down to its core and delivering a game that's all about freestyle attitude and individual skill, something I believe is at the heart of every football fan."
FIFA Street joins EA Sports BIG's line-up of successful "Street" games, including NBA and NFL versions. We will have a trailer for you to download shortly, but if you've already got your hands on FIFA 2005 you can view the trailer in the game.
3DAvenue give their opinion of EA's latest FIFA release.
"FIFA 2005 again shows EA's commitment to providing one of, if not the best soccer gaming experience around. The brand new career mode has both its pros and cons but overall enhances the replay value of the game significantly and FIFA fans will relish the chance to take each other on online."
We've got plenty more FIFA 2005 Downloads for you:

Career Mode Confirmation From EA
We have also got confirmation from EA's Matt Holme regarding Career Mode in FIFA 2005:
"I have been reading the forums and noticed that people have the misconception that you cannot change regions once you start a career. This is completely incorrect. You can change regions at the end of each year if you wish.
So if you start off in England, and suceed there, you are free to move to Mexico next year and see what clubs are offering you jobs there. It all depends on your prestige level and how successful you have been in your career to date as to which teams you will be offered. A tip though... if you have a favourite club that you want to coach, make sure you set them as your favourite team in "My FIFA 2005". You will be pleasently surprised at the end of your first season if you have met the board's requests."
